IGNITE THIS FUSE

IGNITE THIS FUSE

A Poem by Amanda Mae MacInnis

REACH OVER AND KISS ME
JUST WHEN I LEAST EXPECT
IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG SINCE
YOU'VE RAN YOUR FINGERS DOWN MY NECK

HOLD ME MORE OFTEN
THAN AT HELLO AND GOODBYE
AND YOU'LL SEE NO TEARS OF LONELINESS
FALL FROM THESE LOVING EYES

TELL ME THAT I AM EVERYTHING
YOU CANNOT STAND TO LOSE
AND YOU'LL EXCITE SUCH PASSION
FROM THIS FAR TOO LONELY FUSE
