Better Off

Better Off

A Poem by Ms.writer

A friend.
Someone who your supposed to be honest and trusting to towards the very end.
But sometimes that's not the case.
After years of miscommunication, some 'friends' act as if you slapped them in the face.
Damn, that's a misfortune told.
And the way you ignore me and treat me like dirt, it's surprising you don't have an actual heart made of actual gold.
Oops. I'm sorry did I hurt your little ego?
You walk away and I'm just thinking to myself, 'There she go' .
Gone .
Out my vicinity.
But I'm going to be alright.
Living my life soaring farther than infinity.
No doubts or mistakes.
If I had the choice again of trying to be your friend, that's a risk I will take.
I guess I'm just too nice.
Rather that than having my heart so cold that you could mistake it as ice.
But don't take it as weakness.
Because if you cross me again, it'll be my fist that you seek miss.
