Violet Disaster

Violet Disaster

A Poem by Krista Punk
"

Truthful

"
I dig only to find no seeds
Flower pedals crushed dust in unspoken wind
The soil a natural comfort under my nails

Too afraid to look forward
Too painful to look back
Beside me a thorn-less rose

I welcome the break in my bones
No longer afraid to let the seclusion overwhelm
The stars hidden in my eyes

Midnight crosses and I find no pumpkin
A garden so bright in greys and blacks
I dip my fingers in violet silk

It could be wrong
but it couldn't be right...

A moments dream passes memory
Refusing to say it hurt
I'll look at it as learning

.....and I'll breath

The natural disaster that is my psyche
I laugh in their faces
I don't care if my mystery is written

So long as its in Beautiful ink

Okay so generally I find myself to be a jolly person but this came out surprisingly sad.....More or less this is about how I view the beauty in pain....I saw a violet rose the other day and it just struck me as odd....made me go all poetic on your asses.

Hope you enjoyed!

I did enjoy! This was a proverbial smack against mainstream poetry and even mainstream society. I have seen the same rose you pictured here, and I'm not sure I appreciated it being pushed to the back like that. :-p
