Mother

Mother

A Poem by Mujtuba hussain

Blessed is your face
Blessed is your name
My beloved
Blessed is your smile
That makes my soul want to fly
My beloved
All nights
And all the time
That she took care of me
But I never understood it
And now it's too late
Forgive me

Now I am alone filled with so much shame
For all these years I have caused you pain
If only I could sleep in your arms again
Mother I'm lost without you

You were the sun that lit my day
Well, who will wipe away my tears
If only I knew what I know today
Mother I'm lost without you

Mother ... Mother ... My mother
How I long to see mother
"Your mother, your mother, your mother"
Is the word of your prophet
In my heart, in my dreams
You are always with me mother

You left and left me
O light of my eyes
O Comfort of my nights
You left and left me
Who, besides you, will embrace me?
Who, besides you, will cover me?
Who, besides you, will guard me?
Your pardon, forgive me.
