I love...
colorful petals scented lightly
and warm sand between my toes,
the call of the too blue ocean
and the beauty of a white rose,
the orange morning sky
and the wind beneath my feet,
the swirling yellow sun
and the feel of just-washed sheets,
the taste of sweet candy
and the smell of sweet perfume,
the sound of booming thunder,
and the grey clouds mighty gloom,
sitting doing nothing
and staring at the clouds,
being up at crack of dawn
and sleeping 'til crest of noon,
the smell of fresh-cut lawn
and the voices I know so well,
the people all around me
and the stories they might tell,
the innocence of music
and its tough, cold, hardened shells,
I love.
