Cosmo

Cosmo

A Poem by Kate

I prefer silence to sound
I prefer that place
Where you reside
My English bundle of love
Be it Mars or unicorns
Be it a linguistic gap
Or a black hole
Even the genius has gone

Play the flute
My guru
Play the notes
Of hidden soles
In thy shoes tethered
Like vescicles
To epithelium
As stratified as
Testicles of progenitors
As intangible as the Space
Itself chortling
Over our books
Having ends

I prefer solitude to crowds
I prefer that place
Without literary drugs
Be it elsewhere
Be it inside your gut
I am sliding a chute
Into piranha's throat
Gulping on acid
Of visceral songs
Of yesterday's oms

Play the flute
Cosmo
In your suit
The saviour of burnouts
As delicate as
Future routes!

I love your word play... words building images and telling a story.
Your usage of English is so natural no one would guess this is your 2nd language.

Thank you. I am pleased to hear something positive.
You have some fantastic word play going on in this piece. It actually brought a smile to my lips as I sit here sipping my morning coffee. You do wonderfully with your English. You seem to grasp ideas and perceptions that most English teachers would be jealous of. Well done.
