REBOOT BINGE

Take a moment and Reboot....

Turn off the dam Blackberries.
And the iPhone 4 too.

You’re psychologically tired,
I know it; so do you.

You need a Reboot Binge,
So loosen that neck tie.
And tonight we’re going nuts,
Yeah, even if you sigh.

The rooftop laid back,
The wind in your hair.
The smile you’d forgotten,
Flashing here and there.

The warm sun splashing splendidly.
Nature’s color swirling around.
Your mentality being defragmented,
All that stress and doubt. 

Tonight we leave the city,
Yeah the kids are with their aunt.
No, I won’t give you the phone.
They’re fine; you know that.

The music is loud for a reason.
So dance and unwind at will.
Oh, I see a laugh, it’s pretty.
We got friends, the night’s young still.

Hanging out like we used to.
Forget all that mental luggage…
Or at least postpone it till tomorrow.
Cause today you’re out your cage.

Dine at one in the morning.
Fireworks chancing the sky.
The mariachi serenading you.
A gentle breeze sweeping by.

Talk and joke and sip some more.
Ah that laugh; the world missed it.
That grin of yours distinct…
It’s time to hit the street.

You’re driving like a delinquent.

Now we’re abandoning the car…
Dancing to the song on the road.
Aweing at that shooting star.

Jumping into deep fountains.
Dumping coins in generously.
Kicking our shoes off.
Swimming so furiously.

Fake wrestling in the water.
Man, we’re completely soaked.
Who cares? You ask finally.
Yeah, let’s get out of here.

That look you’re giving me,
We’re in the elevator, no.
You’ve grabbed me by the head.
Dam, you can be so loco…

You’re half asleep in my arms.
No need to thank me still.
Yeah, I love you too…
Glad you’ve finally healed.
 

Zzzz…

Its like a trolley dragging itself up the rails,to reach the peak for the plunge into the roller coaster. It reminds us of the continued thought of the reward that comes late in night and yet the poem turns around on itself and asks you to start all over. Quite a wonderful advicement!
