I  walk into the room look up at everyone looking at me -because shy girl draws attention-

and then look back down, blush hard, crimson red, bit my lip, wish to be invisible for a year or two

I move, head down to some dark corner as long as it's not across the floor. I dear not cross the floor

In the haven of shadow I'm jittery

Tapping my foot to a random crazy song with no rhythm, chipping away at my nail with a fast finger

Check for messages -there're none-

Type out a for help to any potential recipient -there're none-

Sigh! look around for a familiar - they're none-

Wishing for some sink hole to come swallow me up -they're none!-

But I am shy girl, I'm used to this after a while it becomes bearable

Because this is my superpower, being able to endure this

Many can't; those girls flirting with that guy can't

Those two strangers leaving together can't

Those fools dancing on the table can't

But I can! This is my superpower.

After a while I can become invisible too.
