A passing minute

A passing minute

A Poem by Myshl
"

the feeling of connection you think you get when you look into someone's eyes

"

It happened by chance
That we shared a glance
Looking quietly into your eyes
I felt as I was hypnotized
In that instant we shared
Our lives we compared
Your easy ways and professionalism
And my quietness and cynicism
Your ease in front of all those strangers
And my thoughts stirred in silent danger
I know your heart belongs to someone else
But your eyes were mine, so I felt
Our souls seemed to connect if only for a minute

But then it was lost, because you're "off limits"
And yet, before it broken
Everything was already said, unspoken
