My Senses

My Senses

A Poem by Myshl
"

Just being aware of the little things.

"

I hummed a tune that wouldn’t go away

I decided to invite my senses out to play

I saw the beauty in the curve of a tree

And the pure joy, of a child only 3

I smelled the lilacs with their rich perfume

And gazed adoring at some beautiful loons

I listened as a dark shadow whispered in my ear

And I giggled at things I probably should have feared

I saw the dark clouds acting as a disguise

Like a curtain, for those angels flying high

Then the wind came and danced with my hair

Spinning and twirling it was quite an affair

I tasted the raindrops upon my lips

And watch the caterpillar cross my fingertips

Just a day were my senses were in tune

And I will gladly do it again, all very soon

I loved this! Lilac is my favorite perfume! I love the way lilacs smell! Great poem about taking a break and looking around your world!
