A BoatA Poem by AmythHidden story in a mist of poetic words.
I've sailed two decades now,
I've seen many fish in the water Of many size, color and structure Many of the fish became dear, And the mermaids taught me not to trust and fear. But even two decades past, I'm on the same boat Rocking and shaking But steady and alive. I see ships, I see people in yacht I turn and see others barely holding on a piece of wood. I sigh The blue sky It's never changed Even through the cloudiest of days All i need is to stay afloat And i see it again The blue sky. I'm on this boat Not touching the sky Yet not sinking and shy. It is well, I've been well. Oh no! A dark cloud surrounds I brace Aware of what's to come Yet affected as much. Now, even the yacht seems unworthy Let alone my semi ship. Not many aboard, But everything to me Not many aboard So the whole sea I'd like to see. The boat afloat but drowning i feel. No land in sight Just the blue The ships fighting and the innocent dying. Calm is just a word Everything ends in clashes or sword. But my boat is safe From the sharks in the sea But my boat is safe Heavens know to what end. © 2020 AmythAuthor's Note
