No One Told Me

No one ever told me how hard life can truly be

No one ever told me about the hardships I would endure

No one said that there would be people out to hurt me

No one told me how my future would be so unsure

No one explained the curve balls life is sure to throw

No one told me that I would be a  rape victim so young in age

No one took time to talk to me so that I could somehow let go

No one ever told me that some days I would feel pure rage

No one said that life would take the ones that I love

No one ever told me that everyday would be a fight

No one said that it would seem no one would hear me from above

No one told me that it would take years to ever feel right
