YourselfA Poem by Mysty Rayn
With every pill you swallow A part of me dissolves away. After each sip you take, A piece of me drowns. Every time you pass out, A chunk of me passes away. You have drugged yourself past existing. Nothing but a shell of a man. How do I sit back and watch? When is it too much? Where do I turn for help? What will heal you? Soon there will be nothing left of me. As you kill yourself, you kill me. While your busy getting high, Your family is dying inside. I can’t be your daughter and your mother. No more late night calls, I won’t answer. I can’t protect you from yourself. © 2008 Mysty RaynAuthor's Note
