Juliet

Juliet

A Poem by Nicholas
"

Fairy tale gone wrong

"

Every fairy tale has an enchantress, and an unlikely protagonist

Every fairy tale has a hero to win the heart of their beloved

Every time there’s a beautiful princess and a royal prince

To fall in love and fix all the problems of the world

And every time they live happily ever after.

Real life is no fairy tale,

Not every prince has his princess

And sometimes the authors of real life get things wrong

Or they just like to screw with us

The other day I saw Juliet, dancing with Prince Charming

I saw them and they were the happy

Apparently someone messed up, because Prince Charming still has to find his princess

That doesn’t happen ’till chapter 48

And Romeo still hasn’t found Juliet"yet.

Something is wrong with the story, but I cannot write to the editor

The story is still being written, the threads of the story got snarled up in the waiting room

The enchantress has become the princess, and Juliet is married to Prince Charming,

Snow White is still single and Romeo is still in love with Roseline

Perhaps real life was never meant to be a fairy tale.

If my whole poetry presentation for Speech and Debate used, like, all of your poems, would you be pissed? Seriously, they're really good.
