Monsters inside

A Story by Nadia Nel
"

were all trapped we just don't know it

"
I wish i was still a kid, you know, back when we all thought that dragons faeries and pixie dust was real. Back when growing up meant adventures and exploring, no worries. The only thing we feared were the monsters under our beads, before we knew the real monsters were inside us just waiting to be seat free. The monsters that now EATS us every minute of every hour of every day, begging for attention. Monsters that make us blind to the truth and makes us see only what it wants us to see and hear only half of the story. a BEAST keeping us trapped inside our own views our own judgements our own truths. Consuming our souls, corrupting our minds, tempting our hearts and making us something that we aren't meant to be. a Slave to our own bodies... Can you imagine? Can you even begin to understand? is that all we are? SLAVES!? to monsters that only we can control. Everyday we set free this destruction onto the world. But why? Why cant we stop? Why cant we trap it so deep down that it can never brake free? so deep that we wont be able to hear it scream our names so loud that our ears start to ring. It as become a master of disguise hiding behind hatred and jealousy, anger and fear. we use it as a guard, a wall of security to keep ourselves in and others out. We use it to fit in saying what we need to say and doing what we need to do. We hide behind it so long that after a wile we don't even realize it anymore. It starts to control us and we let it... Set the monster free and you'll be trapped until you brake the chains.
