Haunted

Haunted

A Poem by Aaron B.

Her eyes

Where the portal

Upon which –

I entered

Into a world

Of love untold

Haunted

By this world

In my dreams

Foretold

Of love long forgotten

A restless wake

Beneath my soul

Apart of my DNA

Like a ghost of love past

Yet most akin

To the motivation

In my skin

SCROOGE

They cry

As they’re voices rise

Above the din

Of my own screaming thoughts

But I would gladly swim

In those sapphires

Of hazel

Yet I must return

To the loneliness

For it would be my

Joyful demise

Of self-devastation.
