Haunted House

Haunted House

A Poem by NamelessBeast.
"

Haunted House

"

Haunting singing fills the halls,

Echoes bounce off the walls.

Long dead men stare from pictures,

Memories of stories about witches...

Creep down the carpeted stairs,

Rats hidden under chairs,

In the shadows, the darkened light,

The house haunts me through the night,

It's not mine, yet I own it,

This key, I hold it,

Empty house, falling down,

Scary like a clown,

Broken windows wink,

Shards of a vase glow pink,

In the sunlight streaming,

The dust motes teaming,

Run from the haunted house,

Quiet as a mouse,

'Else the ghosts may catch you,

Then what'll you do?
