Rage

Rage

A Poem by Nankoto
"

We had to take a word and write something off it in a class today, I chose Rage.

"

This hate that you gave me

Turns into rage

Growing as fast as the fire in my heart burning out

Left to wither and die

Lost in this cold winter night

Feet dragging on with a silent hope

Guided by an unknown force

Lifeless eyes start down

No light inside

As the darkness consumes me

And all I have left

Is this rage inside me

Intriguing piece about being blinded by rage. You put it in a very blunt, yet very show-not-tell way. How I wish I could do that! Thanks so much for sharing, Nonkoto. A very interesting little write. Keep writing, Burl.
