Unyielding Inwardness

Unyielding Inwardness

A Poem by Nao Deguchi

Time is placid and fluid now

Yesterday’s midnight till next day’s noon

Comes in oval-face questions

That will remain unanswered

Like an attraction, not pursued

Out of some bizarre courage

To turn away, to ignore

Time’s sleek head does not immerge

For the subject is aware

Of the object’s recurrence

In timelessness, consciousness

A pink flamingo that remains still

The colbat of oblivion can wait

I am alive and yet, on the border

Of inner time and spiral space

My molecules will not scatter

My atoms will not clump

Though human redundancies

Have never been more apparent

Absurd, they do it all over again.

About
I will go to great lengths to encourage writers of Asian origin. Of these, Indian are my favorite. They have a beauty of sentiment that is not replicated in english. I do not like to leave a trace.. more..
