Sleepless nights

Sleepless nights

A Poem by Nashwauk

Thought I past those sleepless nights spent wondering where you were.
But your still the reason I'm awake while I'm lying here with her.
She's by my side and sound asleep but I'm forced to toss and turn.
Cause flames go out and turn to ash but that can't erase the burn.
I can't escape these thoughts of you that love to haunt my mind.
So no matter where I try to run these ghosts are close behind.
It's like every night I close my eyes I travel back in time.
Cause when I dream I dream of you and all those years I called you mine.
