The Darkness

A piece of homework about the last human.

The darkness, flooding the Earth,

Rapidly changing,

No escape,

Can we survive?

No

Should we survive?

No

There is no point to life,

We hear their cries and screams,

And who makes those sounds you ask?

The captured, the victims

Who are the victims?

We are all victims now,

We cannot tell them that they should stop,

They don’t listen, don’t care,

All I know is the darkness has come,

Silence has fallen,

I survive,

But it is the end.

fall of mankind nicely penned! quite a thought provoking write..and I am amazed to see that a 13 year old can think so deep...with darkness in heart and sowrds in hands we are indeed heading to our own end... victims of our own deeds slayers of our own self, we let darkness get the better out of us... but i still differ in opinion... the end could well be the start of a new era...
either ways... this piece makes a great read!
