Blank slate,

Everybody can relate,

When that ‘f**k it’ in ur system kicks into gear

And u decide…

2day’s the 1^st day of the rest of my life.

 

But I’m not talkin superficial cries of YOLO,

as xcuses 2 act senseless and hit all-time

Moral lows. No!

 

I’m not talkin throwin caution 2 the wind,

and indulging in a tornado spin

of the worlds ills, excesses, leadin 2 colossal messes.

 

I’m not talking saying ‘f**k it’

and havin complacency, comfort, some s**t…

whateva u wanna call it where u restin on ur ‘laurels’

only that u aint achieved much yet ur actin as if ur royal.

 

Its not about getting a promo or slight raise

and then pissin it away on Belvedere or Moet;

Cheap thrills that at best, will give u 15mins of fame.

 

I’m talking workin 2wards, aspirin 2 owning ur own home,

having that ability 2 take a stroll on ur yard.

Appreciating that u’ve done well 2 get where u r…

striving to go a few more steps up.

 

I’m talkin reachin the upper echelon,

being the face of success in ur life, job and societal system.

That’s my meaning here when I say

That ‘f**k it’ in ur system kicks into gear.
