I came to the ruins day after day

Many souls have deemed me misanthropic

Those false accusations excuse the way

I find peace in dull paths and entropics

The way shattered buildings appease my sight

How cracked glass reflects the sunset’s true heart

Watch the fall as steel and earth reunite

See crumbling stones form accidental art

Observe nature’s constant battle with man

Vine against beam grappling for victory

Pleasing equilibrium that began

Long ago in war during history

Thus are the ruins and the battlefield 

Broken beauty had me utterly healed
