Back In Place.

Back In Place.

A Poem by Nefertiti Virtudes Ahmes
"

This has a very dark plot twist.

"
Can love be this strong?
To gaze at a pale beauty.
To feel her dimmed gaze and feel joy?
Her skin smooth for an eternity.
Lips set in a natural pout.
Red hair shines in halogen lights.
His finger tip glides down her exposed torso.
Caressing the scars, her skin chilled.
Sending pleasant shivers down his spine.
She was his and his only.
They were bonded by their love like written chains.
His hand -calloused, a symbol of his soul.
Her heart missing, a symbol of his goal.
Fingers undoing his belt.
Saliva thick with anticipation.
He has been waiting to bare his love to her.
He exhaled as he buried himself in her.
A gentle hand held her cheek.
Keeping her head to look at him.
Soulless orbs gazed into equally soul evaded ones.
His grip slipped as he held the back of her head.
Crimson seeping through his fingers.
His body heat thawing his ice queen.
Three more seconds and all is done.
White coat was replaced and his queen was back in place.
Sterile metal cool to the touch.
Toe tag neatly put in place.
He needed one last kiss from her face.
Back in place -his ice queen, was back in place.

“Do you have the report from that Jane Doe?”

A silent smile -he fixed his coat.

“Yes, yes I do.”

Wow this one has some impact. Nice job building the tension... "Caressing the scars, her skin chilled. / Sending pleasant shivers down his spine." The poem is very visual, but right from the start, you get a sense of disquiet. She's not the one getting shivers. Your images are so sharp... "They were bonded by their love like written chains," that's a great line, love the dichotomy of "written chains." The mood here is just so deliciously dark... great job.

This is a clever piece. Unsuspecting, puzzling, passionate and then revealing With a twisting surprise. You need a brilliant imagination to produce a piece like this. You told me you like dark. This is very dark.
