Foot prints

Foot prints

A Poem by Neha Mathur

I smiled for the whole world to see,
What I hid was only for me.
It was not for them to know,
That I have lost you forever.
Let them think,I have let you go,
Whereas its you who left me ashore.
The tears in my eyes are not for them to see,
Because I am heart wreck,
Not a jolted person to be.

The strength I show them is superficial.
All I try is to stand on my jellied legs.

They have to think,I am strong
The passing time doesn't affect,
They won't even know that
Footprints have already developed
In the sands of time.
