For You

When we are together I am comfortable

Like I have never been with anyone else

Every fiber of my being feels at peace

The rest of the world is full of strangers

People that cannot understand me

But you can, I don’t know why

I love to make you laugh

The sound I hold so dear

The music of happiness

My life is better for having met you

I don’t even know if you feel the same

So I enjoy your presence

Content to just be near you

To be comfortable even if it’s fleeting
