Pride.

Pride.

A Poem by NeilandVoid
"

A song I freestyled on paper after work and a few 40's after another frustrating day in society.

"
Well, I've seen through my eyes, the lies, of stereotypical pride.
Diminished light, hidden through shady acres of newly erected buildings instead of trees.
Well, there really is no need for racial pride as we are all, slowly turning this asphalt world into a rubbish heap.
The most common stereotypes I've seen have been projected by one species against their own.
Latin's who don't speak Spanish or maybe he rides a skateboard instead of playing soccer, well suddenly he isn't Hispanic anymore."
Fools! You have to like your foods hot & spicy, you gotta work long and hard hours everyday, for minimal pay, even though you can never say what you want to say the jefe controls your way of thinking for at least 8 hours everyday.
No, it's not OK for me to follow the path of a weak minded, caged animal, mentality, jumping up and licking your face and hands when you stop your daily clockwork routine, to put up your facade of having your down to earth talks with the common folk, oops, excuse me, human beings.

What I am, what am I?

I have no pride in any races, any man or God without faces, I've faced, many a people in my life span, I've shaken the hands of many a man and from skin contact I know who I am proud of.
Just going by color or nationality, s**t, we ain't all the same.
Racial pride is faceless, blind, so face this.

Author's Note

NeilandVoid
This was a poem or rap kinda song, just pent up positive, anger so it kind of reads like that, hope it's not too distracting.
1997 I think I wrote this (22yo), was working in a corporate kitchen and you get to see the separations of people by personality/conformity, not by race.
