Ambivalent

Ambivalent

A Poem by NellaKovska
"

Pas de rose sans épine.... No rose without a thorn.People, like a rose beautiful with thorns. Both ambivalent .If this poem paints an image in your mind, this poem is for you.

"

She laid in a bed of roses

Questioning people who use poses

Thorn in  heart

 Torn apart

Blood on palm

Not calm

She laid in a bed of thorns

Questioning people who are adorns

As she laid

She now knew

Roses have thorns.

Poses have horns.

NellaKovska I think you may have meant posers or poseurs instead of poses here.

I like the awareness in this and the simplicity - the format gives it a relaxed feel almost as if we are the one lying down receiving the knowledge and experiencing an epiphany.

I also liked the equating some people to just decorational - I think it might be adornments you need here instead of adorns but it is reads just fine as 'verbed', in fact it adds something, I feel.

Thank you for sharing this.
