A Dream

Just a random poem about love and loss.

I knew you once upon a dream

When things weren’t as bad as they seemed

And I loved you just like a girl

When I knew you once upon a dream

I took my eye off the prize

I shielded my eyes from the sun rise

I looked away

I gave up hope

I ran away from home

I wasn’t okay

I searched for you all over the land

I just couldn’t understand

I was losing you

I held my eyes closed

I wasn’t asleep though I dozed

What was I going through?

I can’t touch your face

I can’t touch your soul

I can’t touch your face

I can’t touch you

I knew you once upon a dream

When things were worse than they seemed

And I loved you just like you loved me
