It's 2a.m...

It's 2a.m...

A Poem by Shane William

From 'cross this dim lit corner
She, a pretty face
Lightly spoken
Secured in a smile
As my fingers trace
The outlined image
Tasted like a spritz
Cold and timid

She, unabated melody
Believe me,
It's a song you sing to wine
Sipped from crystal
composed from design

It makes you dizzy,
Makes you believe
She's really there,
Laughing with your charms
The eminence of perfume
Resting on your arms

Suddenly the room
Becomes so empty
And it's all that we are
Two strangers from across
A lonely crowded bar

Lovely. Effortlessly constructed. "Believe me, it's a song you to sing to wine." Love that.
