A Poem by Shane William

Polaris,
open up my mind
show me the way
because every
direction is north

Invoke my thought
give me that epiphany
that perfect fifth
so that I may
give you the sunrise
as a gift

Polaris,
alliterate my soul
place it in context
some form I can grasp
before the pen bleeds
and I'm all
over the paper

Conjure the path,
the bridge, the passage
so that I may traverse
and parallel the passion

Polaris,
Peel open these eyelids
So that I may look up
and imagine the sky
as it should be

Provoke timeless
symphony's
and captivate
ocean bodies
Beget self worth
As so I may travel the earth
And impart thy image
