Lady of the Dark Woods

Lady of the Dark Woods

A Poem by Kristine
"

Just a poem about a character from a story of mine.

"
I remember you from somewhere
From a place far away, in another time
My memory fades every day
You become more distant
Further away

In this place I am now
Coldness all around me
I can feel it nearer
The Darkness that made me vanish
Further away

I was once beside you
Light all around us
In the place that was home
Until it found us
Further away

It wanted what we had
Full of envy and anger
Consuming it all, the light, the power
We tried to stop it
Further away

I watched you fade away
Darkness all around you
It got what it wanted
There was nothing I could do
Further away

It feared my power
Darkness found no place in me
Out of there, to earth I made my way
To the woods that became my palace
Further away

In this place I am now
With my last bit of power
Remembering for the last time
Long distant memories
How darkness consumed you

Far far away

The theme with "away" goes and goes in this write...but I managed to finish this piece about moving on and away from the darkness...
