Change

Change

A Poem by NerdGirl

Change

You can try all you want but you can't stop change.
It's all around you. The seasons change, the leaves change, you change, and you die.

As i look out my window I see the time that has past.
It feels like just yesterday was the first day of summer, and now it is fall. Soon it will be winter .
Another change and I can't stop it.

I look out at the trees. The ones I love so much and the leave have changed to many colours. From green to beautiful reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. Soon it will be frozen.
Another change and I can't stop it.

I look into the mirror and see how time has changed me.
It feels like only yesterday I was a little girl.
I'm growing up in every possible way.
Another change and I can't change it.

I look into my future a long time from now.
I will keep aging and growing up.
I will have children and grandchildren.
Eventually I will die.
The biggest change and I can't stop it.
