Shiver

Shiver

A Poem by Jamie Charbonneau
"

A Re-Add from before the great Writer's Cafe wipe...

"

A shiver catches me
in its grip
as I watch the raindrops
slowly slip over
curves of cars
and straight lightposts,
people's lifebreath forming ghosts
about their heads.

Wide-eyed and breathless,
I stand here waiting
and hoping wreckless
silly hopes
that you might care.

But when I look
you are never there.
