Love Resignation.

Love Resignation.

A Poem by Vanessa

If you still care,

don't stare. x2

I know it isn't fair,

but I didn't dare.

Don't dip into the poison.

You knew it wasn't good,

wasn't safe,

wasn't us.

Still you signed your name,

in blood,

in cursive,

on the LOVE RESIGNATION SLIP,

love resignation slip.. x2

You loved me..

TRULY!

No lust,

no sin.

I grew afraid of Him,

as you grew astray.

Opportunity arises! x3

Don't dip into the poison!

(SAVE YOURSELF!)

You knew it wasn't good,

wasn't safe,

wasn't us.

Still signing,

signing,

The LOVE RESIGNATION SLIP! x3

Liar! x2

I moved on,

never lead you to the desert.

Drink from the falls of Eden. x2

Hun, you dipped into the poison.

I knew it wasn't good,

wasn't safe,

wasn't us.

Still we signed our names,

next to the ex,

on the love resignation slip..
