Thought Process.

Thought Process.

A Poem by Vanessa Oviedo

Thinking and thinking.
Don't know what's going on,
In this game that you're playing,
I'm just a pawn.

Make them go away,
The people, the noise.
Take the thoughts away,
Give me your poise.

Thoughts that are dangerous,
Thoughts that could kill,
Zoning out from thinking,
Time's standing still.

The voice, it's shrieking.
It's saying "go die."
Can't help these feelings,
Really needing to cry.

Keeping it hidden,
Pretending, oh gee.
No one will notice,
You don't even see.

Can't you see that I'm breaking?
That I'm falling apart?
It's all these f*****g thoughts
That are hurting my heart.

It's this thought process,
It's jumping around.
Can't keep my focus,
Can't hear a sound.

Going insane,
Losing my mind.
Searching for something,
Something I won't ever find.

As a person blessed with ADHD I can relate very much to this poem. Sometimes writing trancends into a form that is accessable to both the learned and unlearned. It has the power to show the unkown to the unknowing. I love it. Thanks for sharing
