A overdue spring in the wake of an extended winter is much worth waiting for. The season of renewal, new beginnings. A lovely poem. Did you know that the sun can sing Neville? Yes I have heard it. Scientists can pick up those vibrations of pulsating molten gold and translate them into notes.

It's beautifully and skillfully expressed.
Too much coldness could freeze the heart and too much of waiting keeps time too long. Though from where I'm from, there's no winter or summer but I know that summer keeps you under umbrellas with a hat on, lying on a lounger and watching the nature tuning colors and listening to birds summer songs, while the fresh summer breeze entertain your skin.
Winter at the other hand could make you freeze or shut you in.
Well written, Neville.

I do love the summer, the fact it brings the children out to play and you can see it’s rays shining in them and on them and us while while we enjoy our days. I fear the winters are longer every year . Roll on the Spring season of new beginnings, love to hear the birds sing..and the Summer fun!
Am hearing that sound that sunlight makes Nev - there in that happy-land where as children were playing at being the bravest - - how good were those days.. as are your golden words..... ...........x Fay

those days were indeed golden... thanking you Fay and truly true...
Ah, that magical silence, or perhaps not so magical, where everything, even sound is frozen in place until the thaw begins.
Maybe it isn't even so silent Neville, it's just our numb ears that haven't got the energy to waste listening for trees in woods falling.
But it can be deafening too. I haven't heard our resident owls sin e last weekends "breeze" and now that bully Dennis is kicking about like he owns the place, it leaves me hoping that behind him will be hurricane Eddy to kick his a*s and show him what's what.
Can't wait for the thaw of spring to arrive and let me feel my fingers and toes again. Waiting indeed, for feeling to return 😀
