Self inflicted physical harm maybe a signature mark to seek help to get someone’s attention. Disturbing write because it’s so true in this world. It’s a bit like anorexia excuse spelling like a habitual punishing type disease, the inflicted can’t help themselves.

"I need to be hurt... She said …" DANG!!! Mr. Neville!! I didn't know how I haven't told You this before, but this brilliant piece woke my eyes up! You do reach into the deep psychs of a human being in your own style, to stop being addicted to anything is NOT easy, and some yes are addicted to pain, even when they find true happiness they might throw it away because of this addiction, on the other hand, You know as poets pain does inspire us, so maybe that what she was looking for too? and You know too that sometimes we need to feel the total breakdown and live it so we rise up.

Then I thank you yet again .. and because so few seem particularly interested, I will share with you the inspiration for this little scribble which actually sprang from one of the very last clinical sessions I had with a young South American patient of mine who used to cut her beautiful self terribly as a means of tension release ...
I am in fact both proud and pleased to report she has never admitted (and I believe her) having cut her self since ... I get a card each year both for Christmas (she does not know I am Buddhist) and for my birthday .. Covid permitting, we hope to meet up in November for a long overdue catch up ..
