Never Going Nowhere Maybe

 

She took him on a three year journey

and then she let him go ..

But she never tasted sweeter

than when his tongue wove to and fro ..

 

So why not just forget it darling

the journey and the destination too ..

Let’s both rejoice instead, she said, in what

we learnt, en route along the way ..

 

And that’s precisely what they did until

she passed, some thirty years ago today ..

He’s still here though, but thinks of her

and that journey shared, every now and then ..
