The Edge

The Edge

A Story by Daniel Whitaker
"

True life story

"
My heart pounding, my body sweating. Feeling nothing but fear as my body goes numb. I fight for each breath hoping its not my last. What have I done? I knew something was wrong, I couldn't move. I felt paralyzed and all I could do was cry out. My voice failed me, I lost all hope as I lay there. As I gained a little feeling in my right arm, but only enough to feel my chest . I felt my heart pounding until it was faintly there. Everything is disappearing, the world is turning black, I scream out in agony, I roll off the bed and luckily land on my feet. I'm standing, but I feel my legs give in as I crumple back on the bed. I can't die like this, I push myself on my legs and start wobbling back to my mother's room. I tell her everything and after that everything is blank. The only thing in my mind are those 30 pills of Benadryll I took....
