My feelings this exact moment. #1

A Poem by Jacob Baca
"

New poem series, emptying words onto this page deriving from whatever my feelings are at the exact moment I wrote them.

"
Ship me off to space and let me die among the view.
Growing tired of ignorance and synonym truths.
Consistency is a lie, one can never be content.
I was told hell was bad, but look, you're heaven-bent.

A score of asterisks, each one haunted by a picture.
biting into an apple, but there is something wrong with the texture.
forever sitting down, numb from the concrete.
couldn't walk anyway, I put my shoes on the wrong feet.

Could you turn off the lights? I'm in a endless dark session.
I hate the look of your eyes when my face is making this expression.
Here take my hands, they don't seem to move.
The more we talk about it, the more we seem to lose.

So set the boat on fire, ship me off to the view.
I'll be warm for a while, even though being cold is the truth.
Label me content, all the while I'll be uneasy.
You were heaven-sent, but in the end you had to leave me.
