A word with Self

A word with Self

A Poem by Nibedita Pradhan
"

Often to look okay before others we gradually turn away from self. But pretending so we get nothing in return but fading ourselves in a crowd.

"
Finding Self in a silence
I, dare to ask me today
One emotion is fool's trade
Can't you be the YOU for a day?

Departing a breath, with drowsy eyes
Let my conscience to exercise
This, day by day like fading stars
Forgetting Self to harmonize

Sometimes this, sometimes that
Became, an excuse to avoid
Nor God Nor human near
No time to talk I made

Impersonating the common other
I, still on a train to discover
Destined that  at the minute
For actually what was I happier

Meeting their a good image of
Me, running opposite inside
Often tears showed the true
To conceal what, I often tried

Dreamy eyes build dreams
Never get tired to give thinks
Why shaking with a heavy heart
Let the Odds float down to inches

In waiting to thrive
With the daylight arrive
Days passing, time flies
Being Stormy touch the highs.
