Path

Path

A Poem by Nicholetta

Perhaps I have overextended my welcome and it’s time for me to move on;

But  with every last breath I take I could never conjure up the same crazy hopes and dreams with as much vibrant beauty or fabulous glory in all their brilliance;

Nor fathom all my nightmares with the same confusing peculiarity ever again;

Because with every desire burning within my soul and everything I’ve ever known, all the wisdom and lessons learned couldn't  have ever brought me to this wonderful place again…

Much wiser now I wouldn’t dare venture down the same awkward path with as much passion not withstanding grace.

Or run as playfully through green valleys and fields of blade with eyes so recklessly closed.

Nor enjoy the cool waters of a swim while trying to " trying to " keep my head above water…

Yes I am content with my beaten and worn down path that has led me to this place I now call home…

For it is well-broken in and I know can be trusted to travel time and time again;

It took me a lifetime of searching through my wonderful journeys to finally to get to this place I now call home;

And  I am to a point where this road has become so familiar and I no longer lose my way…

Brilliant--truly a gorgeously well expressed piece of poetry...
...love this...

This piece is fabulous! I adore the visual aspects the most, but the words also touched my soul. I think we are all always searching for that home inside & outside. I'm glad you found it. : )
