I Can

I Can

A Poem by Nickee Carlson

I can summon all my rage,
And conver it into words on a page,
I can rip myself raw,
Just to recount the horrors I saw,
I see the good things I can do,
If I honor my words and keep myself true.
I know what will happen if I let my aggression, Cripple my thoughts and turn into depression.
My emotions can be my biggest downfall,
If I let down my guard and give into them all.
Deep inside me burns the passionate fire,
Of a 19 year old girl full of desire.
I want this girl release from the shackles that bind her seclusion,
I want to be freed from all my delusions.

It's pretty simplistic but that's how my poetry is, if you don't like it don't comment.
