I don't like giving descriptions, I let the pics I add do the talking:)

she will arrive in a moment
this is the moment I have been
waiting for for an eternity
I still cannot believe that
she will come at my place
that's what she told
me an hour ago, smiling

and I already put fresh
flowers on the table
to create some atmosphere
this time it's not a lie,
she will come at my
place tonight, she won't go
to the other guy.

she's always in my mind
she's like an obsession that
inflames my senses and fantasy
and I imagine to have her here
and I imagine to seize her
in my arms, to seize
her like this.

she's the only one in my mind
she's like a fire on my skin
that I cannot wash
and in my dreaming eyes
I see her like an angel
she, who is actually not an angel.

midnight has passed and I
have already extinguished all
the stars on the ceiling
I'm going to bed and I think again
that she will come to my place
that's what she told me
a day a long time ago.

she's the only one in my mind.........my angel, why did you desert me?

I like these lines especially as there is great urgency in them and the fantasy seems utterly alive here...

and I imagine to have her here
and I imagine to seize her
in my arms, to seize
her like this.

And the notion of a woman being a fantasy angel, but also not an angel combines the two way men often look at women. Of course the ideal is to have both types of woman in one!

Ouch, that is a painful situation. I like the description though. All these thoughts that keep crossing through his mind. It was great.

Beautiful write! I like the sweet sadness in it! The obsession is wonderfully pictured here.

A rejected love is never easily swallowed. Great poem!

Hey Nico. Thanks for the invite.

(I'm not sure when 'write' became a noun. I obviously have an old dictionary)

I think unrequited love is a powerful subject. I find the voice, the language interesting, speaking of possessing her. Taking her.

a mixture of romance and angst...which do seem to go hand-in-hand, don't they? Unrequited love, how very painful. "she's like a fire on my skin that I cannot wash" what an excellent description of passion.

ouch. This has happened to me. Good poem though. I like the use of pictures and the word usage is good. Explains a lot with just a few words. Good work

Very well done. I enjoyed the beginning as he was waiting patiently for his true love to come back. And what a twist of fate that she decided to never come and he continued to wait...yet another day, and another day. Obsession is painful. Very nice job!

Yes, I enjoyed it, because same thing happened to me, too

On the other hand, it's a well written piece you got there...

That little heartbreaker! Why does this have to happen? I don't know but you really put everything into words emotionally. It is full of feeling and disappointment, but your love is felt as well. An incredible poem and the pictures fit it perfectly. Even without pictures, I could imagine this completely with your well chosen words.
