A Fool in Love

A Fool in Love

A Poem by Nicole Renee
"

Inspired by Kate Voegele's Only Fooling Myself.

"

I’m only fooling

Myself as I look as you,

Watching my heart die

As I see you walking

From my life forever now.

I have to thank Caffine for this part because I don't think I would have known what to do with this haiku (tanka) if I didn't think of that poem you did with the syllable count. ^_^ ..And this poem just came to me. Oh, should I change the last line?

Quite a blunt little thing. I'm not quite sure what to think about this one, because despite its emotion, it feels incomplete. I'm not sure. Perhaps it should not be a Tanka and should follow a different format?
