Until We Meet Again

Until We Meet Again

A Poem by Danika Neill

Until We Meet Again

Death walked right by and reaped your soul

He knew deep down you reached your goal

You raised a family all on your own

As the years flew by it really grown.

You picked me up and shown me love

But now I know your up above

The day you left my heart froze over

No longer would I look at the clover

I put on a mask to hide tears

Since it still hurts after all the years

I sometimes think that you were wrong

When you would say that I was strong

The thought of you crosses my mind

When I notice that I was blind

It hurts a lot because it was real

And only good memories heal

Before you left you said good-bye,

It was so much more in my eyes.

So to save my heart from the strain

Let's just say until we meet again.
