The darkest cave

The darkest cave

A Poem by NikolasArn

Walk in silence
Walk in fear
His binding grip will hold
His devouring eyes won't disappear.
Look away, close your eyes
Hold your tongue, he hears your cries
Shut your ears, escape his lies
He is legion, the lord of flies.

Are you strong, are you brave?
Will you descend into his cave?
Step inside, raise your head
In his presence, whispers unsaid
In his garden, children of dread.

Show no desire, can you resist?
His desiring gifts insist
For your strength and courage to be dismissed
How can you resist?
You walk where all your deepest dreams exist
And with an alluring twist of tongue, you will enlist.

Deep in the forest beyond the veil
Past the bridge that leads to Dale
Before the entrance to the darkest cave
Rests a sign with words of terror engraved
It was here strength and bravery was enslaved.

But, I think you did a wonderful job with this poem. Did you ever consider writing a Novel or a book?
