Purple Color

Purple Color

A Poem by Nika Pronina

We go on a picnic by purple car,
My daddy wears a purple hat,
Mommy is in a purple dress,
Beyond the town, far, far.

Beyond the forest of grape vines,
To purple plum trees
And purple fields of many flowers
With busy humming bees.

I see the lavender field,
Then irises and lilacs.
Beautiful purple colors of nature,
Perfect place to relax.

Mommy lays down a purple blanket,
Daddy brings out a picnic basket with roasted figs,
Grilled eggplant sandwiches,
A purple cabbage salad,
Purple sweet potato chips.

A purple butterfly plays with me,
I follow it, but the butterfly flies away,
Flapping its wings silently.
What a wonderful carefree day!
