A Poem by Sarah Emily

Through the open window
a warm breeze fluttering the curtains.
An incessantly buzzing fly
at the corner of tightly clamped lips.
Eyes enveloped in a filmy glaze
always on the ceiling fan.
Circulating the decadent scents
of dust and decay.
